Suhad Issa Marjei, Bringing over 25 years of experience in patient, family and staff education, I currently work as the Nursing Research and Education Department acting manager at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

I graduated from Jordan University of Science and Technology and obtained a bachelor degree in Nursing Science, and obtained different post graduate diplomas in diabetes education.

My journey in diabetes education started in reputative hospitals in Jordan and UAE, where I advocated for patients and the community.
I joined SKMC in 2000 and brought with me skills and experience in diabetes education and program development. In 2008, my scope got widwened when I was promoted to a clinical resource nurse .In 2022 I led the nursing research and education department in SKMC.

I am committed to improving nursing professional development and led lots of professional development activities and projects for nurses in SKMC, such as nursing orientation, charge nurse program, succession planning program, and diabetes link nurses programs. I am also actively involved in nursing and health science students clinical placement program and internship. On SEHA Level, I cover the responssibilities of “SEHA Nursing and Midwifery Clinical Practice & Professional Development” Committee and the “SEHA Diabetes Education Advisory Group” as a chair of both committees.

Community awareness and outreach is another area of experience for me as I commenced lots of community programs, such as “SKMC, We Care” Project and “Abu Dhabi ADNOC Marathon”

I also contribute to the hospital’s nursing quality such as pathway to excellence journey as a chair of professional development standard, and in JCIA Accreditationas a chair for Patient centered care chapter.

I am a dedicated member of the SEHA Health Education and Promotion Council.

I commenced the SEHA Diabetes Champion Program. I played a vital role in the SINMAC organization committee for several years.
